Grapes of Wrath Labor Camp : South of Bakersfield along Weedpatch Highway lies the Sunset Migrant Labor Camp made famous by John Steinbeck's novel "The Grapes of Wrath". The labor camp is still in use during the growing season but some of the original buildings have been set aside for restoration and education.
